we teach

a place for parents and teachers to learn, share, and grow

I don't have a blog and am trying to find my way around all the blogs! Some one did post a place where everyone could post their links but I can't find it, so I thought I'd post another place in the forum section (where I believe everyone can access). So can you all post your links and quick description of your blog! Or links to your favorite sites.

Thanks!

Erin

Children Grow Children Explore Children Learn Is where I blog about everything we are doing in our homeschool.
Good idea, Erin!

Most of the blog links are somewhere in the 'we teach: we're bloggers' group, but it certainly does make sense to have them available here, as well, so that those who don't blog can get to the links easily.

My goal at teachmama is to provide parents with the tools and resources they need to be the best teachers for their children. I just try to share easy things I do every so often to keep my kiddos' brains and bodies moving.

The Activity Mom is a blog I started with various activities that I try with my son and want to share with other moms.

(Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to get my hyperlink to show up in the text. What am I doing wrong?)
I'm Ayn and I teach pre-k! I have just ventured into the blogging world and am learning to navigate as I go. My blog is little illuminations

A Mommy Talks is where I blog about my new phase in life as a stay-home mom.
Nicole,
I totally know what you mean about hyperlinking text. It looks strange, but here's how:
highlight the text you want hyperlinked, then click on the hyperlink sign (5th from the left, next to the camera), and insert the link.
Trust me, it will look nuts because it shows up as html and not plain text, but when you click 'add reply', it will show up as hyperlinked text.

Hi all,

I have two blogs - one geared towards educators and one geared towards parents - both literacy related. On Picture This! Teaching with Picture Books I review picture books that can be used to model reading comprehension strategies or the Six Traits of Writing. On Literacy Toolbox, I provide tips and tools to aid parents in enhancing the literacy lives of their children.

Thanks!!

Dawn
I blog at Let's Explore, where I share simple ways to play, create, and explore with your kids. I also blog about our homeschooling activities at Early Bird Homeschool.
I blog on Somewhat Organized, Slightly Crafty Tot Teacher...and Mommy. Lots of blogging on being a stay- at- home mommy, learning with my kids in Tot School, our home "preschool" and being "slightly" crafty when I get a spare moment! :)
Hi, I blog at http://progressiveearlychildhoodeducation.blogspot.com

Hello

My blog is called Inspiration Surrounds, Creatvity Abounds and I blog about all the different sources of inspiration that we (my three year old daughter and 20 month old son) use to play, learn and create arts and crafts throughout our days.

Hi,

I'm an educational consultant and writer (curricula, magazine articles) and I have my EdM in Social Studies Education and certification in English/Literature, History/Social Studies, and Communications (Theater Arts). I was a classroom teacher for five years before shifting to working from home as a consultant.

Naturally Educational is dedicated to the idea that children learn naturally through play and exploration. With some help from their parents, professional educators, and a few carefully chosen materials, kids will fulfill their innate potential.

I keep a blog on there with ideas for educational activities as well as thoughts about pedagogy, issues in education, etc.

Excited to be here!
