All Year Round Blog Carnival: Summer is a collection of summer posts sharing seasonal thoughts, pictures, activities, crafts, recipes, books, art, nature study, projects, celebrations and more. You are invited to join us and link up your old and new summer posts (maximum 5 posts a day per blog). The summer carnival will remain open for new links until the autumn carnival begins in September so you can come back and link up more posts throughout the summer. We hope you'll enjoy visiting the host blogs and posts from the linky for lots of summer ideas and inspiration. You're very welcome to get a button, share this post, and let your friends know about the carnival. You can find out more about All Year Round and get a button here, and also follow All Year Round on Pinterest and find us on Twitter at #AllYearRoundSummer.

Our group is one member away from 400! Do you have any blogging friends you could invite? The more members we have in our group, the more opportunities you'll have to network with other bloggers and team up to provide support!

Hey friends! Do you have any tips for test taking season? Community Manager, Jacquie Fisher, just posted that question on the main we teach forum. It would be a great opportunity for any bloggers who have posts on test taking strategies or ways to make testing less stressful, etc. to share their posts. This is on the main forum page so you might be able to connect with people who are not in this group and gain some new readers! Here's where you can check it out: http://www.weteachgroup.com/forum/topics/how-to-make-testing-fun-fo...

Thanks Shara! I'm still learning too. I did find out how to link a community but I still have trouble finding people too. Thanks for joining Reading With Children. Feel free to link up any posts or products you might want to share!

Hi Jackie - I'm not sure how to find you at Google+ but here is my page. https://plus.google.com/u/0/100898162064024783446/posts I did join your group so maybe that's all I need to do?? :-) I don't know much about Google+ yet. Thanks!

Who has a G+ community? I just started a google + community today. It's called "Reading with Children".  I could use some support from my we teach friends! I'd love if some of you would share your reading resources- playing with literacy, book reviews, free or even priced products from teaching stores are all welcome. (If you share a priced product, I just ask that you mention that it is not a freebie).  It's a public community so I think you can just search "reading with children". If you add me on G+,  I'll add you back.  FYI- If you are new to G+, there's a G+ group here at we teach to answer all of your ?s http://www.weteachgroup.com/group/we-teach-on-google

Wow, I haven't been over there in a while! 2 things to share this week:

  • Several new posts over at my blog, including some thoughts on a New Year, Christmas reflections, and my response to Newtown. You may want to bring some tissue... http://missnightmutters.com/blog
  • I co-moderate the #kinderchat community, and, like Lisa, we are participating in NaBloPoMo this month, too. A new blog post, every day, written by a different guest author, on a wide range of topics relating to young children. We'd love if you dropped by: www.kinderchat123.net.

Happy New Year all!
