Hi guys,

this is probably one of the more useful posts I've written i think. Well, i'm proud of the response it's gotten so far. Would love you to check it out and see what you think..  It is a list of 5 ways to encourage Early Literacy   @ home. I share some of the ideas that I use at home to promote a love of writing, drawing etc.

Thanks, Debs (Learn with Play @ home)

Wow, what a great post, 39 comments so far! Carolyn

Thank you , Carolyn :)

This week I shared 2 Math Start books-- one of my favorite picture book series on early math skills.

Early Day Hoorayworks on place value and talks about the importance of recycling.

Double the Ducks teaches the mental math skill of doubles. I have directions for writing a doubles book too!

Love the recycling post!  I'm following you on Pinterest - you have great boards!

Very nice posts, Jackie, and I got Double the Ducks from the library! Carolyn

Love the double the ducks post. Thanks for sharing :) (Am following your blog now by the way)

My post this week is Dancing - One Body Part at a Time  This girls had a fun time taking the pictures!  This activity strengthens so many different learning skills while having fun!

Hi Tonya - I'm so glad you posted because I'm new to the group, but my daughter takes violin - so I'm having a wonderful time exploring your site!  And yes, your girls do look like they are having fun :)

Thanks Jacquie!  We love violin!  It is one of our favorite instruments. I am so glad your daughter is learning to play!

Very fun and again, your post is so much more than just music, and is educational in so many ways. Carolyn

Thanks Carolyn!
