Hey all,
Here's the weekly blogger share discussion... a little late this week. Is anyone else have a busy summer? I know I am! We don't have a video to share this week. We are actually going to try a different way to organize your posts into resource links that people can find right here at we teach. More info will be coming on that, but for now, just share one of your favorite posts from the week.
Also, each month we are going to try and have a few "themes". This month, we are looking for ideas for teaching boys and ideas for back to school. Again, you can share posts on any topic but if you have posts (old or new) on the themes, please share those also!
Thanks!
There are no rules in this thread, but it would be very nice if you visited the same number of links as you share.Look through and find one or two links of interest. Try to comment or share on the web in some way.
Simply add links to posts you'd like to share this week. Posts can be old or new. You can add a reason for others to visit or just leave the links to your best posts.
This is a great way to build a community of like minded bloggers, find new blogs, and get genuinely interested readers. A new thread is started every Tuesday. Share and read all week.
Permalink Reply by Jackie Higgins on July 5, 2012 at 7:48am I'm not traveling to the beach this week but it's on my mind. I've compiled some of our favorite picture books for the beach. I'd love to hear if you have a beach themed picture book that you love! Also, here is a simple beach themed water sensory bag that is great for toddlers and preschoolers.

Permalink Reply by Tonya Dirksen on July 6, 2012 at 6:08pm Great beach ideas! I had just gotten out a bunch of our beach books this week and will look forward to adding these to the mix. And cute sensory bags!
Permalink Reply by Carolyn Wilhelm on July 5, 2012 at 9:45am Here is a sample of how the pages may look although we are still in the planning pages, so here is the boy outdoor fun page with some ideas on it: http://www.weteachgroup.com/group/weteachblogswelove/page/outdoor-f...
We hope you will like our idea! Carolyn

LOVE the idea! I always like it when we can theme things and connect posts like this - I think people are more likely to keep reading and find what fits them when they have some choices and clear connections.
Will each new topic/group be featured on the homepage or the newsletter? Where should we look for them?
As always, you guys are amazing!!
Permalink Reply by Jackie Higgins on July 7, 2012 at 7:07am We are still working on the details for the resources. We will be promoting them and are trying to come up with some fun ways so be watching for that at the beginning of August!

Thanks for starting the discussion this week, Jackie. I woke up this morning and couldn't remember if I started the discussion this Tuesday or not.
I can't wait to see the ideas you and Carolyn have for bloggers sharing posts in this group.
I didn't write a post on my blog last week, but I did write a page for Squidoo. I'd love for a few members of this group to check it out, vote on books if you've read them and liked them, and add books you think teens like to read. Most Popular Books for Teens to Read - Summer 2012 If you could share this page with teens, parents, and librarians that would be awesome!
Permalink Reply by Jackie Higgins on July 6, 2012 at 1:11pm Great article. I added Rebecca Stead's "When you Reach me". I also like another Stead book for teens, but I couldn't think of the title! I voted too.

Loved "When you Reach Me" - just saw a teen friend at the library checking it out and I told her she'd have to read "Wrinkle' when she finishes it :)
Permalink Reply by Carolyn Wilhelm on July 6, 2012 at 6:22pm Just bought WHEN YOU REACH ME for my Nook. Thanks! Wrinkle is a wonderful read and thought provoking, too.

Thanks Jackie and Jacquie for suggesting When you Reach Me. I'll have to read it myself soon.
Permalink Reply by Carolyn Wilhelm on July 6, 2012 at 2:14pm I added STARTERS for books that make you think, and I voted on the titles I have read, which wasn't all of them. Thanks! Carolyn
