What a great post!  I love how there are ideas for three levels.   I will definitely use the packing list idea with my four year old.  She LOVES to pack for trips!

My latest post is 10 Picture Books to Encourage Outdoor Adventure

Jackie, I am sure I will have some Road Trip posts this summer.  My pinterest account is:  http://pinterest.com/52brandnew/  I'd love to collaborate if possible!

Thanks Danielle! I added you to the board.  I'll have it up all summer so feel free to add at anytime.

Thanks, Jackie!!!

Great book ideas!  Thanks for sharing, Danielle.

Hi Danielle.  I tried posting on your blog, but my comment disappeared.  I'm sure it was a bad "operator valve" (as my husband likes to say).  Anyway, I loved this post!  I really like how you gave suggestions for how to apply the book to your own kids! :)

Excellent book list, Danielle, and all the books are ones that can be read over and over. You picked a nice variety.

Hello!

This week I have a post on a few games to learn and practice identifying high and low sounds http://www.stringskeysandmelodies.blogspot.com/2012/05/high-and-low...

and another one on Readers' Theater with a little math thrown in http://www.stringskeysandmelodies.blogspot.com/2012/05/readers-thea...

Thanks!

Your post on high and low sounds kind of goes along with the post I made tonight about using water in glasses to make sounds :)

Yes!  They do go together.  I've had your idea on my list of blog ideas for a while- just never wrote it! :)

I have never seen the music activity you describe done before, and I have taken children to many music classes! Clever, and easy to follow for others. I like your use of Masketeers art for puppets in the second post, and the idea of showing the food is eaten. Carolyn

Thanks Carolyn!

I've been busy moving my site to a new domain.

Here's my most recent post called "A Glass Half Full" Kind of Game.

It all started when all the "kid cups" were dirty and my daughter was given a "Mommy and Daddy" glass.  Oh boy... :)
