... And how proficient you are in them yourself? My husband is German, and he speaks to our daughter in German, but unfortunately he became a lot less consistent with it since she always responds in English. My native language is Russian, and I plan to introduce it shortly.

I teach American Sign Language! :) While it's not 'foreign' it is considered a second language now in colleges, and most high schools. We're teaching my daughter. She's 22 months and she has quite the vocabulary. Very passionate about sign language so I decided to blog about it!
