Just shared a free printable game that encourages physical activity to help celebrate July 4th.  You can download here http://www.growingplay.com/freejuly4.html

Hi everyone! I'm an occupational therapist and teaching bodies to move is what I do :) just wondering how many of you have explored a program called "me moves?" I tried it for the first time recently with one of my middle schoolers, loved it, but am curious to hear about others' experiences!

Did you know that providing choices for children increases physical activity time?  You can read more on the research at this blog post http://www.growingplay.blogspot.com/2012/04/choices-increase-physic...

There's lots of fun active play ideas linked up in our "It's Playtime" post - hosted by myself (hands on : as we grow), QuirkyMomma, The Imagination Tree and Messy Kids - its focuses on play-based activities, so come and find some ideas and link up some of your own favorites!

I just created a category for my posts called 'GO GO GO' for all those posts where we Move Move Move!

I thought this would be a great place to share it - with a very energetic preschooler, we definitely need to get our bodies moving on a regular basis!

Thanks!

Grad Credit opportunity. Just set the dates for a grad course I am offering at The Hall at Patriots Place. The dates are August 8th, 9th and 10th and a fourth date to be determined. The venue is a club box overlooking Gillette Stadium in Foxbourgh MA. The title of the course is Establishing a Positive Learning Environment in the Gymnasium.
