Fun rock cycle activity that I found.  I've used this before with the water cycle, and kids love it! http://www.cascience.org/csta/pdf/conferencehandouts/SherriffRide.pdf

Interested in teaching about worms?  I've joined with 2 other homeschooling (kindergarten) bloggers to bring you Worm Wednesday posts about the science of worms.   The link below will be updated with each week's link.  On our final post before Thanksgiving, we will have a printable document with an outline of all the lesson ideas you might want to try!

Here's our first post..and the second post is already linked up under Worm Physical Features.

You could do a feely box for textures, have them put their hand into a box and guess the texture or item.

Work on identifying objects using their senses.

Starting a unit on properties of matter... colors, size, shape, texture, etc.  (not solid, liquid, gas)  Need some fun interactive ideas.  This is new to us (only since last year).  I feel liek it could be alot of fun, but I just cant wrap my brain around it.

Hello! Am helping some friends with their relatively new science blog - they post experiments for preschoolers and under 12.

http://www.science-sparks.com

Would be fab if you could check them out. They are also on FB and keen to "like back" - http://www.facebook.com/ScienceSparks

Love their approach to chocolate treats: http://www.science-sparks.com/2011/09/15/chocolate-leaves/ ;-)

They have just started a Science link up - http://www.science-sparks.com/ 2011/09/15/fun-sparks/

*THANK YOU*
