Go Paperless for Earth Day! http://acolwell.blogspot.com/2013/04/go-paperless-for-earth-day.html

Hi Everyone - I posted some 'Going Green' guides for kids with easy ways they can be eco-friendly at home, at school and in the community. Guides cover ages from preschool - HS.
We have books linked to them, but I would really love to add some links to other great ideas - so if you have any favorite resources/posts, let me know.
thanks!
Some things we try to do everyday....
Rags!! cut to size and save buttons for other sewing projects.
You can never have too many rags!
Comment by Erin on August 6, 2011 at 10:43pm Hello Everyone!!
I have a question about what you do with old holey shirts/clothes?? I usually like to donate my clothes but don't want to donate my holey clothes, but it feels like such a waste, especially if the hole isn't very big. But I don't sew, so I can't really reuse the fabric.
We use and teach about composting. Garden waste and leaves and lawn clippings are composted and made so the earth can replenish itself. It is a great way to keep dinner leftover and food waste out of landfills and keep the garbage can clean!
The added benefit is WORMS!
Will you come and join in the Sunflower Festival?
I've been running a charity sunflower growing challenge in aid of Compton Hospice. On 30th June, to round off the challenge, I'm hositing a Sunflower Festival on my blog NurtureStore. Would you come and swap a kids craft, activity or play idea linked to sunflowers with us?
You can find more info here - I'd love you join in the fun!
