Pileated-Woodpecker

This morning I was able to film a Pileated Woodpecker making a cavity nest in a dying tree from my deck on my house in the woods. Pileated woodpeckers look and sound like the cartoon character Woody Woodpecker. Really! He isn’t calling in this video but is tossing wood chips out of his nest and doing some drilling.
