Maureen Cooper said… I love the idea of students working at their own pace on the standards but not sure how our school will be able to figure it out schedule wise. Here is an example: If a k child is reading on 2nd grade level and working on 2nd grade standards he/she should be able to join a class that is working on the standards he needs...that means everyone in the school needs to be doing the same subjects at the same time...how do classes get in their specials, lunch??? Scheduling nightmare! I think it could happen if the child stays right in their own classroom and we continue to do our small grouping like we do but work on the standards.
